Festivities begin with a Santa’s Village event at 3:00 p.m. on the City Pier, featuring visits with Santa, 10 tons of snow for children to play in, and a holiday sing-a-long. A tree lighting ceremony on Stearns Wharf kicks off the parade at 5:30 p.m. with the VIP judging party at being held at Coastal Winery. Thousand of spectators will cheer on 30-50 boaters parading to the theme of “Underwater Wonderland.” Councilmember Iya G. Falcone, Harbor Commissioner Bill Spicer, and Santa Barbara Yacht Club Commodore Homer Smith are among this year’s judges. A short fireworks display will follow the parade, followed in turn by an awards ceremony and after-party at the Santa Barbara Maritime Museum, catered by The Endless Summer bar-café.
